Turning Point Center
Location Turning Point Center
We work in a lot of different capacities with Turning Point Center.
The most current needs are below:
On Sunday, April 23 (the day of the congregational picnic), we kicked off a drive to provide Welcome Bags to residents at Turning Point Center.
Turning Point Center takes in approximately 120 new residents yearly aged 50-62 who, without help from TPC, may have nowhere to live. These donations will provide common items many of us take for granted. The incoming residents may literally only have the clothes on their backs and these items will help them on the road to a new beginning. Also, when the residents transition to their own place to live they will take these items with them.
Items Needed for each Welcome Bag for Turning Point (One item of each):
Two Rolls of Toilet Paper
1 Knife, Spoon and Fork in a Ziploc bag
Twin Bed Sheets w/ Pillow Case (white)
Towel set: 1 wash cloth, hand and bath towel (white)
Volunteers are needed to make posters for the Welcome Bags sign-up table for the picnic.
- Clothes room: help organize and size donations
- Garden: help plant, weed and tend to the garden
If you would like to spend a couple of hours a week, every two weeks or monthly for these opportunities please let me know.
Your help really makes a difference!
